I Believe...

Exercise is the most complete form of stress relief at any age. It is the purest release of tension and critical to a healthy mind. As a mother of two very active children, I see my family being pulled in many directions on a daily basis. Exercise is the one thing that maintains my sanity and ability to deal with our demanding schedules. It is critical for us to teach our children how to handle these stresses, and how to live a healthy lifestyle, for their future and their children’s future.

New in the Gym

I remember the first time I set foot in a gym. It was 20 years ago, the free weights were in a separate room, and there were no women. I was completely intimidated! The only thing I knew about working out, was that I wanted to start. So with the encouragement of a friend, I took a deep breath, and started learning. Those first few weeks were hard. But I absorbed as much information as I could. There are many people out there that are intimidated by the gym simply because they don’t know what to do, or how to start. But they do know how to work a web site. This site gives individuals that are new to working out the ability to see the proper way to execute a particular exercise, but maintain the level of privacy they desire. It enables them to reduce that intimidation factor with information that they can access on their own time.

I didn't think I needed a personal trainer

I have been working out since I was 17 years old. I am dedicated, knowledgeable, and successful with training on my own. Until two years ago, I questioned the value of a personal trainer. My husband had been training with Rebecca and been injured wake boarding. He wanted me to fill in for him so he didn’t lose his time slot. After two weeks I was hooked, and he hasn’t gotten his time slot back since! The challenge, motivation, and team concept she provides is something I lacked after so many years on my own. We have a common goal based on my vision for myself and we work together to achieve it. I have since received my certification and joined Rebecca on this endeavor; so that I can help others achieve their fitness goals as well.

Why a website?

SEveryone I know uses the internet in some aspect of their lives. I have friends and family throughout the US that ask me for training advice; we always find ourselves saying the next time we visit, we will just go to the gym so I can show them. This web site enables them to actually see the exercises in motion. They will be able to access it at their convenience, print it out and take it with them, as if I were there. My goal is to reach as many people as possible, on their time schedule.

My Vision

Is to give people the correct information, make it easily accessible, and give them the autonomy to use it the way they want to. To keep parents and children aware that it is not only ok, but critical to take time to maintain a healthy body and mind. To show that this is not just a trend, it is a lifestyle and one that is crucial to our well being.
