Lunges are one of the most effective exercises for shaping the lower body. To add variety and intensity to your workout, add a double or triple "pulse" to any lunge. For example, when performing a Walking Lunge take your step in to the lunge, and then push up and back down 2 or 3 times before finally pushing up and walking forward into the next lunge.
